To the Nines: 2014 Hurley Pro Top Rides

Jadson Andre (BRA) was the first to break into the nine-point range on Day 2 when he earned a 9.00 claimed in Round 2.

Filipe Toledo (BRA) hit one of the biggest aerial maneuvers of the Hurley Pro when he lifted above the lip for a 9.83. The ride ultimately won the Innovation Award.

Adam Mellling belted a 9.17 on his opening wave in Round 2.

Mick Fanning (AUS) earned a 9.07 in his Round 4 heat.

Gabriel Medina (BRA) notched a 9.63 in the opening heat of Round 4.

Miguel Pupo (BRA) turned up the heat in Round 4 when he notched an early 9.10.

John John Florence (HAW) showed off an arsenal of progressive maneuvers for a 9.63 in Round 4.

Florence notched a second nine -- a 9.10 -- in Round 4 with plenty of time still on the clock.

Florence replaced a nine-point ride when he belted his third -- a 9.23 -- in Round 4.

Florence fell just short of a perfect 10, earning a 9.93 for managing seemingly impossible maneuvers during the back end of his Round 4 heat.

Florence wrapped up a tremendous heat with a fifth nine-point ride. Nearing perfection, the Hawaiian scored a 9.80 for a 19.73 heat total in Round 4.

Adriano De Souza (BRA) established an early lead against formidable opponents Kelly Slater (USA) and John John Florence (HAW) with a nine-point ride to open his account in Round 4.

De Souza opened his Round 5 campaign with another 9.07.

Adrian Buchan (AUS) earned a near-perfect 9.43 when he went completely vertical during the Quarterfinals.

Florence hit his sixth consecutive nine-pointer at the Hurley Pro when he opened his Quarterfinals heat with a 9.17.

Picking up where he left off, Kelly Slater (USA) belted a 9.37 in his Quarterfinal against Aussie Joel Parkinson.
