Baia Formosa hosts Red Nose Pro Junior South America qualifier for 2014 ASP World Pro Junior

The best South American surfers under the age of 21 will convene in the city of Baia Formosa, on the southern coast of Rio Grande do Norte in Brazil for the Red Nose Pro Junior from August 8-10.
Essential ranking points are up for grabs as this will be the only South American qualifier taking place in Brazil this year for the 2014 ASP World Pro Junior Championship event. Competition in Brazil will come to a fervor as the new generation in surfing will be represented by a variety of countries in South America.
The top 4 Men and the top 2 ranking Women surfers at the completion of the three ASP South America Pro Junior events will get the chance to fight for the world title at the ASP World Junior Championship to be held later on this year.
This is the first time that Baia Formosa city hosts an international surfing competition. The waves at Pontal Beach, a well-known point break in Baia Formosa will welcome one more generation of talented surfers who dream to pursue careers on the WCT.
