The elite five-day QS 1000 rated event will form the second of three stops on the Vissla NSW Pro Surf Series and will take place at Boomerang Beach from the 20th February - 24th February 2019. 144 Men and 80 Women are expected to compete in the event.
Surfing NSW CEO Luke Madden believes the caliber of surfing at this year's Mothernest Great Lakes Pro will follow a similar vein to earlier events.
"The level of surfing at the Mothernest Great Lakes Pro has always been superbly high," said Madden. "We've seen current and former WSL Championship Tour surfers shine year-after-year at this event and have no reason to believe that 2019 will be any different."

The Vissla NSW Pro Surf Series was developed for Australian and International surfers to gain ranking points and prize money on the WSL Qualifying Series. The series also creates a NSW coastal road trip for all to explore the variety of waves, visit local communities and enjoy NSW surfing culture.
The 2019 Mothernest Great Lakes Pro is supported by the NSW Government. The event will also be proudly supported by Mothernest, MidCoast Council, Moby's Beachside Retreat, Vissla, Volkswagen, AirAsia, H2Coco, Havaianas, WSL and Surfing NSW.
