Surfing NSW CEO Luke Madden praised the Great Lakes region of the Barrington Coast for regularly providing amazing waves for competitors.

WSL Australia/Oceania Regional Manager Will Hayden-Smith is looking forward to seeing the event return for the fourth year.
"WSL is extremely excited to return to the beautiful Boomerang Beach for the fourth annual Mothernest Great Lakes Pro," Hayden-Smith said. "Every year this competition has run, we have had exceptional waves and this has been reflected in the volume and quality of the field who attends each year. The event has also played an awesome part in the careers of our athletes with a number of previous winners going on to qualify for the WSL Championship Tour. We can't wait to watch the competition unfold in this picturesque part of the world in 2019."
