The Rip Curl Pro Junior Series February 26 to 28 in Peru will see the best surfers 20 years old and younger participate in the first of the four South American events for the World Pro Junior. Winners in both the men's and women's divisions have an opportunity to earn 1,000 points toward their respective World Surf League (WSL) South America ranking.

The series has seen a ton of talent grace its stage: Renowned Peruvian surfers Sofia Mulanovich and Piccolo Clemente have both had success there. Mulanovich won the women's title in 2004 and Clemente won the Longboard title for the third time last year.

This year's tournament will open in spectacular fashion, with a festival that will include live shows to enhance the adrenaline and excitement surrounding the event. Event organizers have also scheduled a night surf, the Powerade International Open Night Expression Session, for Saturday, February 28.

"We will carry out an excellent day in San Bartolo," said Javier Reátegui, festival event organizer and manager. "Night surf is back, and it's going to be spectacular."
