Vieux Boucau Longboard Festival is on StandBy
WSL
PLAGE NORD, Vieux Boucau / France - The ASP Europe 1-Star Men & Women Vieux Boucau Longboard Festival has suffered a second consecutive layday due to the lack of waves on offer at Plage Nord of Vieux Boucau. The new expected 2-to-3-foot swell did not reach the coastline in time for today's competition forcing event officials to differ the start to Saturday, 9am if conditions allow it.
“We monitored the conditions all-day,†Thierry Vidal, head judge stated. “Unfortunately the new swell we're waiting for hasn't show signs today and we'll have to postpone again to tomorrow. We're confident we can run the whole event in a day and will be looking to start bright and early tomorrow.â€
Surfers and event officials will reconvene Saturday at 9am to reassess conditions.
