Spectators got a treat of what the world's best are capable of on a high-performance canvas and they didn't disappoint. The GOAT made his big return as a wildcard but Barron Mamiya spoiled his party with a clutch showing. Italo Ferreira and Griffin Colapinto put on a high-performance clinic. The women's Opening Round ignited with excellence from World No. 1 Gabriela Bryan, CT veteran Lakey Peterson, perennial World Title contender Molly Picklum, and an insatiable showing from Bettylou Sakura Johnson. Plus, men's Elimination Round bouts upped the ante with Top 5 competitors up against the ropes as Kanoa Igarashi, Barron Mamiya and No. 6 Ethan Ewing all overcame adversity. Things are just heating up in Southern California with plenty more action in store.
