The women's Round of 16 lit up the morning's chill with dynamic displays from CT veterans Lakey Peterson and Sally Fitzgibbons reestablishing themselves. Fitzgibbons' win over Caity Simmmers left the door open for Gabriela Bryan to overtake to the No. 1 spot and she did just that with an excellent showing alongside the likes of Luana Silva and Isabella Nichols notching massive wins of their own. Plus, men's Round of 32 action got underway to close out Day 3 with timeless power from Ethan Ewing and Kanoa Igarashi alongside high-flying antics from Seth Moniz and Joel Vaughan. The remaining eight heats are on schedule when competition gets underway with heavyweight bouts on the menu.
