Before conditions forced competition off for the day, the damage was done courtesy of Caitlin Simmers' excellent showing along with fellow Californians Sawyer Lindblad and Bella Kenworthy taking over. Kenworthy bested a CT Rookie phenom clash over Erin Brooks before Gabriela Bryan established herself back into the Quarterfinals following her 2024 event runner-up. Molly Picklum posted an impressive showing all her own before Brisa Hennessy held on for a pivotal heat win. Now, the last two heats remain for women's Round of 16 ahead of men's Round of 32 showdowns when competition resumes.
