The Gold Coast was firing recently, and those lucky enough to live near some of the best sand-bottom point breaks in the world scored some bombs. World Champions Mick Fanning -- coming back from a knee injury -- and Stephanie Gilmore were shredding, while other local rippers jagged some late Autumn gems from behind the rock at Snapper. Here's just a few of the rides captured during the swell by filmer Lachlan McKinnon.

Mick is looking as sharp as ever after rehabbing a knee injury, and was on hand to enjoy a few barrels at a wave which has shaped his iconic point-break style and tube-riding abilities.
