The first of two back-to-back QS3,000 events in Portugal, this event will be Stop No. 3 on the European Qualifying Series following the start of the season in Israel and the Canary Islands.

Some of the world's best surfers have competed here the last couple of years, and even though dates will coincide with the Gold Coast in 2019, rest assured the field will be as strong as ever with the finest qualifying hopefuls coming to rack up precious points early in the season.
