Final: Carissa Moore (HAW) 15.73 def. Tyler Wright (AUS) 14.10
The Drug Aware Margaret River Pro final would see a rematch from 2013, with reigning two-time ASP Women's World Champion Carissa Moore tangling in a seesaw battle against Tyler Wright at Main Break.
Wright would strike first in the final, logging a midrange score. The Hawaiian would answer back, belting a series of forehand turns for a 7.50, overtaking Wright for the lead.
Following a lull, Wright would deliver an explosive two-turn combination, netting an 8.00 to regain the lead at the halfway mark in the heat.
Moore would take the lead once again following an additional exchange, netting a 6.87 to Wright's 6.10 and immediately extend her lead with the highest score of the heat of an 8.23 for a powerful two-turn combination, securing her second consecutive Drug Aware Margaret River Pro victory.

Drug Aware Margaret River Pro Women's Semifinals would kick off an electric day of competition, with reigning two-time ASP Women's World Champion Carissa Moore facing off against five-time World Champ Stephanie Gilmore.
Moore would grab the first wave of the heat, but failed to capitalize on any substantial scoring potential. Gilmore would follow, notching two midrange scores, taking an early lead.
The Hawaiian would fight back, however, belting a 7.50 and 8.33 on back-to-back rides with an array of progressive forehand surfing, pushing Gilmore in to a combination situation.
The Australian would break the combo, but Moore would take the win, advancing to her first Final of the year.

Women's Semifinal action culminated with an all-Australian affair as Sally Fitzgibbons faced off against compatriot Tyler Wright.
Fitzgibbons bolted out to an early lead, dissected to the wild and wooly righthanders with impressive precision.
However, it was Wright who would ultimately answer back with unmatched power and strength, taking on the sections with reckless abandon and advancing directly to her first Final of the season.
