The 2018 HIC Pro final came down to an international foursome including North Shore's Kiron Jabour, Tahiti's O'Neill Massin and South Africa's Beyrick De Vries and Slade Prestwich on Halloween. Day three of the event saw epic surf in the 6-8ft. range and the day's highest score - a 9.0 - from Patrick Gudauskas, along with multiple high-scoring rides and competitive action. This official local qualifying event for the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing also awarded the WSL Hawaii/Tahiti Nui Regional QS Winner, which went to Massin for his outstanding regional performances throughout the year.
