When it comes to identifying surf spots that crank out stars, you'd be hard pressed to do better than Florida's First Peak at Sebastian Inlet. While a jetty expansion deteriorated the wedgy wave that Kelly Slater, Lisa Andersen and the Hobgood brothers cut their teeth on, there's a renewed push to revive the renowned wave, and pro surfing's return to Florida's renowned hotbed is pouring fuel on the fire. Over the weekend pro surfing returned to Sebastian for the first time in nearly a decade, and the competition in the Men's QS 1500 and Women's QS 60000 drew out enthusiastic fans from across the region.
