The third edition of the SEAT Pro Netanya pres. by REEF upgrades to QS3,000 and welcomes more and bigger names to its 2018 roster.
The holiday season won't exactly be a big break, made of siestas and exotic trips for everyone this year. A big part of our athletes are already hard at work, fine-tuning their game for the first events of 2018.
The World's best juniors will be up first in Kiama, fighting for the ultimate U-18 crown, the World Junior Championship from January 4-12 in Australia. The Qualifying Series will also launch super early, on January 11th to be precise, with the third edition of the SEAT Pro Netanya pres. by Reef.
And since a new women's QS6,000 in Florida appeared on the schedule for 2018, organizers in Israel have decided to cancel their women division and boost the men's event to a QS3,000 next year.
Subsequently, a whole bunch of new names have already registered to visit Israel for the first time, and fight it out for early points in the qualifying season.
Long-time Championship Tour competitor Aritz Aranburu, France's Marc Lacomare and Charly Martin, Carlos Munoz and Brazilian star Miguel Pupo are amongst the new faces joining returning surfers to Netanya for ten days of fun surf and cultural escapades.
The first two editions have delivered fun conditions at Kontiki beach and all eyes will now turn to early forecasts for the Mediterranean sea.
