Saturday was a big day on the North Shore of Oahu where the final Qualifying Series event of the season came to a dramatic conclusion with California's Conner Coffin taking the win in fun 6-foot surf. He survived a late charge from fellow golden state surfers Kolohe Andino and Griffin Colapinto, as well as Australian powerhouse Wade Carmichael in the Final.
While Coffin's win earned the headlines, the bigger story was the battle to see who would qualify for next year's Championship Tour. Colapinto's second-straight Final appearance vaulted him to the top of the Qualifying Series rankings. Carmichael finished in the No. 4 spot, securing his spot as a New Era rookie. Meanwhile, Ezekiel Lau and Keanu Asing both managed to hang in the Top 10, securing their spots.
The WSL commentary crew breaks it all down in the final QS Post Show of 2017.
