There are a number of paths to making a Final at the Pe'ahi Challenge, and each one carries its own unique circumstances. Some competitors arrived in dominating fashion -- Ian Walsh, Makuakai Rothman, Kai Lenny, Ryan Hipwood -- while others merely survive to surf another heat -- Greg Long and Billy Kemper. Nevertheless, all six big-wave warriors found a way into the Final Saturday with a chance to make history and take home the prestigious winner's trophy from the 2017/2018 event.
