"The thread of positivity is really the essence of our life."
Those are the words from Dane Gudauskas that close a short film collaboration between the Positive Vibe Warriors and Hydro Flask that explores their foundation and a day in the life at one of their Stoke-O-Rama events recently in Huntington Beach, Calif, during the Vans US Open of Surfing - Men's QS.
Check out Hydro Flask's exclusive sit down with Dane.
The Gudauskas clan -- Dane, Patrick and Tanner -- are not your average surfers. Through their foundation they've tapped into one of the secrets of life, staying positive and giving back. During the month of September they collected hundreds of surfboards for their latest activation, the "Can't Steal Our Vibe" surfboard drive for kids in South Africa. The movement was an overwhelming success.

Following the completion of their drive, the Positive Vibe Warriors said this on their Instagram:
"The Can't Steal Our Vibe board drive is a wrap.Thank you to everyone who was involved in making this dream become a reality. To stop and think if every surfboard in this photo represented a child who has the chance to paddle out and share an ear to ear smile, STOKES us more than anything. " #passthepositivity
Even Santa Cruz westsider and big wave legend, Darryl "Flea" Virostko, got involved by donating a handful of the late Shawn "Barney" Barron's surfboards to the drive. "So pumped to donate Barney's surfboards to the #PositiveVibeWarriors foundation to send to Africa to help kids learn how to surf," said Flea on Instagram. "Thanks Dane and the G-Bros for making this happen. Shawn got a lot of his inspiration from his trips to Africa for his art, and I am so glad he is going back."
