It's been seven years since Silvana Lima has been to the top of the podium at a Championship Tour event. In the time since she's fallen off the Tour twice, and clawed her way back. The 2017 season is her third stint at the Championship Tour level, and things haven't got much easier for the Brazilian. She entered the Swatch Pro ranked No. 15 on the Jeep Leaderboard. Undeterred, she set the Lowers lineup ablaze this week, pulling huge upset wins over the likes of Carissa Moore Stephanie Gilmore and Lakey Peterson on her way to the Final, where she faced a red-hot Keely Andrew. While Andrew was clearly on fire, Lima set the tone early, opening with an 8.93.
The 32-year-old veteran never looked back, and clinched her first CT win since 2010.
