Keely Andrew, World No. 12, has been taking down top seeds all week long at the Swatch Pro. She continued her giant-killing spree Friday morning in the Semifinals there, adding World No. 3 Courtney Conlogue to her growing list of conquered titans. Throughout the 30-minute heat, both women made mistakes, and the lead went back and forth between them, up until the very end. Yet, with under two minutes to go, Andrew kicked into a higher gear, throwing everything she had at a glassy Lowers right. That last sprint made the difference: She earned an 8.10, turned the heat, and moved on to her first-ever CT Final.
Andrew's win was good news for someone else, too: By defeating Conlogue, she paved the way for Sally Fitzgibbons to officially move into the No. 1 spot on the Jeep Leaderboard. Fitzgibbons will now don the Jeep Leaders' yellow jersey when the Tour heads to Portugal later this month.
