Playa Zicatela -- the big-wave spot known as the Mexican Pipeline -- was once again the host of the Puerto Escondido Challenge. And the world's heaviest beach break did not disappoint. With an intense south Pacific storm providing 20-to -25-foot waves for many of the Big Wave Tour's best and brightest, big wave surf fans were treated to a bevy of deep tube rides and nightmarish wipeouts. Two of the world's greatest watermen -- Jamie Mitchell (competing with a fractured sternum) and Kai Lenny -- dominated the six-man Final, with Lenny taking a dramatic last-minute victory on the back of a draining righthand barrel.
