For the second year in a row, Playa Zicatela -- known as the Mexican Pipeline -- delivered big, scary (if somewhat unruly) tubes for the Big Wave Tour's Puerto Escondido Challenge. At daybreak it was clear that many of the world's best big-wave surfers would face off with a powerful south Pacific swell set to peak midday. Groomed, 10-to-12-foot (25-foot faces) lines poured into through Puerto's deep offshore canyons, providing plenty of opportunities for surfers like Grant Baker, Kai Lenny, Billy Kemper, Jamie Mitchell and Tom Lowe to fearlessly scurry into cavernous A-frames and thumbing closeouts. Kaipo Guerrero and two-time Big Wave Tour Champion Greg Long take your through of all the biggest stories from the day, including Kai Lenny's dramatic last-minute win in the Final.
