It took the wind clocking around just the slightest bit to clean up the leftover bump at Backdoor today. Add Michel Bourez and Filipe Toledo to the mix and the best two-wave exchange of the morning's heats exploded like fireworks. Toledo dropped in late, negotiated a large rib on the face and pulled into a long tube. He scored the first perfect 10 of the event. Not to be outdone, Bourez packed the next wave, a smaller, but more perfect barrel and came out clean. His score: 9.57.
