Day 2 of the Junior Pro Biscarrosse resumed in clean, one-to-two foot surf and ran the opening two heats of the women's second round before going on hold due to the high tide. Organizers unfortunately could only witness the disappearing act of the remaining small lines of swell throughout the afternoon and had to call competition off for the rest of the day.

Current leader of the European Junior Qualifying Series and winner of the inaugural event of 2016 in Caparica, Teresa Bonvalot (PRT), 16, successfully launched her Biscarrosse campaign and claimed her ticket for Round 3.
"It's always good to start with a win especially when you're in the first heat and you don't really know what the conditions are like," she said. "Waves are tricky so you just have to try your best and not miss opportunities. I'm happy to be here and hopefully I can make a few more heats."
