In the final day of action at the Hawaiian Pro a mix of the top Qualifying Series and Championship Tour surfers battled for qualification points and a head start in the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing series. With his victory at Haleiwa Wade Carmichael (AUS) surfed his way into the lead of the Triple Crown and jumped 40 spots to No. 13 on the Qualifying Series rankings. However, as the winner of the legendary Hawaiian series is determined from the results of all three contests on the North Shore collectively, Carmichael's work has just begun.
