Teaser for the upcoming Caparica Primavera Surf Fest, the inaugural 10-Day Surf and Music Festival in Caparica from March 26 - April 4, 2015.
Praia de Caparica, Almada / Portugal - The Caparica Primavera Surf Fest powered by O'Neill event window starts Wednesday, April 1, with more than 120 competitors already gearing up for the inaugural Junior event this season in Europe.
An exciting new addition to the 2015 Junior series, this event has received a massive support from competitors and will feature the very best up-and-coming surfers from all over Europe. The promising forecast for later this week should provide surfers with great conditions to display their level of performance.
Last year's Top 10 finishers on the regional rankings Timothee Bisso (GLP), Andy Criere (FRA) and Nelson Cloarec (FRA) will come in as event favorites but will be facing hungry newcomers and an international junior star in Kanoa Igarashi (USA) when the event commences.
Among the women's field, in the absence of reigning European Junior Champion Tessa Thyssen (GLP), the field will reignite the exciting battle for first place that unfolded last year while all Portuguese eyes will turn to local favorite Teresa Bonvalot (PRT) to claim the win on home turf.
Complementing a busy four-day event waiting period, a large music festival will keep everyone entertained with top Portuguese DJs and bands rocking the dedicated outdoor scene on the water's edge.
